The 1968 Trail was a "moderate" hike and nice adventure through the lower portion of the Arenal volcano. We stayed at Volcano Lodge, and the trip from there was about 15 km or so. Very easy to spot with road signs and our iPhone. The cost was $18/person. There were very clean bathrooms onsite at the base of the trail.
