P1693: acording to dodge is ECM/PCM communication failure everyone else says its a companion code. P1689: I dont have clue? I would suggest running only the new pump.The only thing the 1693 code is telling you is that you have another code. It is called a companion code. What ever tool you used to get the codes did not get answers from both computers. The good news is that right now the VP is ok. The bad news is that you still have a code and then you will find out what your problem is.
